My pc can see only 7 threads. I checked the BIOS and everything was fine there.

But the Device Manager shows all 8 threads

I would still update the bios, and reset to the defaults. If the problem persists, contact the system\motherboard manufacturer.

And, what operating system are you running?

It is possible to disable logical processors in Windows. Are you sure you haven't accidentally done so?

Note the following mini-tutorial: http://solidlystated.com/software/how-to-disable-a-cpu-core/ How to turn off a CPU core or limit cores on dual-core/multi-core computers.

Hope this helps,

Hello Pampam2203

Thank you for your response.

In order to help you better, I would like to gather more information about the configuration you have on the computer. Please attach to this thread the TXT file the Intel® System Support Utility will generate: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility

Steps to save the report:
  1. Run the utility.
  2. Click on "Scan" to get the scanned system.
  3. Once the scan is complete click on "next".
  4. Use the "save" option, save the report to your desktop.
  5. To attach a file, you must click the "Attach" option on the bottom right-hand corner of the response box.
Could you run the Intel processor diagnostic tool and provide me with the .txt file report?
