4 of the 8 threads are idling even on high usage

Hello, i have i5-1135G7 with 4 cores and 8 threads. recently the last 4 threads are started to constantly idle even when i launch games. The usage doesnt go over 30% even when i set programs to only use the last 4 threads. Windows freezes  every 30 minutes or so for 2-3 mins.

I tried stress test with cpu-z but they were worknig fine going 100% usage. I tried to reset bios settings and updated Windows and drivers but nothing fixed it.

I thought of buying new processor but i dont know which processors are compatible with the motherboard.

any suggestions?

Your motherboard manufacturer will likely have a list of processors supported by their bios.  Check with them.
