Hello,

I would like to know when the 6770HQ (and 6870HQ, 6970HQ) will be available on the market in laptops, because I do not find laptop configurations equipped with the processor yet.

The processor has been launched on Q1, 2016, I would recommend contacting an Intel authorized distributor for information about availability: https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/resellers/where-to-buy/overview.html https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/resellers/where-to-buy/overview.html

Thank you for your answer; I would like to find a laptop equipped like intel NUC6i7KYK, which seems like ideal config to me. I guess this will be there very soon...

I have searched on Internet for laptops with Intel® processor i7-6770HQ but they are still not in production, you will need to keep checking with your favorite vendor for availability.

Thank you, this is what I saw also. Iris pro 580 is shown to perform even better than NVIDIA GeForce 960M on some benchmarks I read (with only a 45W TDP total), so I think a laptop with 6770HQ and thunderbolt 3 (to plug supplementary external desktop GPU if needed) would be awesome, and a good demonstration of the interest of all those technologies!

Yes, that would be a great piece. Hope you can get it very soon.

Iris Pro 580 CPU's like 6770HQ were released by Intel in Jan 2016 and it is almost 6 months later. This chip makes 80% or more of discrete GPU laptops obsolete. There are zero laptops shipping with these CPU's.

Is Intel keeping Iris Pro 580 CPU's for their own NUC production only?

I do not have notifications that Intel will keep this processor model for Intel® NUC only. You will need to keep searching with any major laptop manufacturer for availability.

Six months after release and nothing

No manufacturer has mentioned a release

I guess at this stage i will give up and either not upgrade for a few years or look for other options

Most of the manufacturers advertise laptops as i5 or i7 as they are all the same

I regret to inform you that I do not have official documentation about when an Intel product will be release.

As a general corporate policy, the technical support staff does not comment on unannounced Intel products, future technologies, or technology trends.

This would be great if a device like the VAIO Z canvas, which currently has 4770HQ, could be upgraded to Skylake with 6770HQ, or with Xeon E3 1565L, with its 35W TDP and iris pro P580, and also with thunderbolt 3; this would make an absolute killer 12 inches quad core tablet! (I hope VAIO is thinking about this).
