Hello, I actually don't know whether it's a problem or not but I noticed that my recently bought 8700k automatically boosts to 4400 MHz (sometimes even 4700 MHz) for simple tasks like launching a browser and CPU utilization at these moment does not exceed 20 % (for a single thread). My question is is it normal? I don't use any OC save enabled MCE on the motherboard ASUS Z370-G.

Yes, this is perfectly normal. This is the Intel TurboBoost feature using thermal margin to its advantage.
