The BSODs started appearing like a month ago but have increased in frequency ever since. At first BSOD happened when a game was played and I opened a browser. I tried reinstalling all the drivers, today I installed a fresh Windows 10, bit the BSODs are even more frequent.
The errors in eventvwr I believe are causing it are as follows:
2017-09-27 18:16:52,662 [7] ERROR ProviderManager.SecurepayBcaProvisioner - Exception during BCA-SGX provisioning
System.Runtime.InteropServices.SEHException (0x80004005): External component has thrown an exception.

I reinstalled the recommended chipset from Intel's website, running the SetupChipset.exe, but it does not help. I reinstalled all the drivers I found on Asus' website as well.
What can be the cause? Is it the CPU?

Hello KaiserKobayashi,
Thank you for joining the Processors Community. I am sorry to hear you are having blue screen issues.
I would like to request more information regarding your system configuration in order to address this matter in the most accurate way, please see below:
- Do you see any error message while the BSOD happens?
- What is the RAM brand and model you are using?
- What is your BIOS version?
- What specific drivers did you install from ASUS site?
Regards,
Amy C.

Hello. Please see below
BSOD message is quoted in he first post
BIOS: 3401
RAM currently:
16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz, Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2B3200C16, 1.2V
Replaced my old one - HyperX Fury Black 8GB, DDR4, 2133MHz,
It is highly unlikely to be the RAM.
Second time I did not install any drivers but let W10 update them.
What I noticed is that the BSOD happens only when I run Google Chrome. When I use other browsers, the BSOD hasn't shown up yet.
is it possible to be some kind of incompatibility between the drivers and Chrome?

/thread/118304 KaiserKobayashi, thank you for that information.
It could be a matter related to drivers, so let's try address it by updating some components:
Chipset driver: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/utils/Intel_Management_Engine_Interface_Consumer_11601032.zip?_ga=2.89056283.1686393047.1507050741-1591972974.1464359624 http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/utils/Intel_Management_Engine_Interface_Consumer_11601032.zip?_ga=2.89056283.16863…
VGA driver: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/vga/Intel_Graphics_Accelerator_Driver_win64.zip?_ga=2.56438699.1686393047.1507050741-1591972974.1464359624 http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/vga/Intel_Graphics_Accelerator_Driver_win64.zip?_ga=2.56438699.1686393047.15070507…
Please let me know how it goes.

Did this issue occur before you changed the DIMMs? If not, then it most-certainly could still be the DIMMs that are responsible. First of all, don't automatically associate good with new; I have seen plenty of bad DIMMs right out of the shrink wrap. Secondly, going up to 3200MHz is a significant jump in memory bus speed and fraught with potential issues -- most motherboards are not truly designed to support memory this fast; noise on the bus can become an issue and cause all sorts of strange behaviour.
Just saying,

It runs at lower rate.
I've run tests like p95 and the RAM seems to be ok.
At this point I will just download the drivera recommend above and monitor for a couple of more days. Will run a Chrome instance again and see what happens.
It is very odd to me that BSOD is triggered only by that particular application. I've ran a few instances of a game at max settings and none of that triggers the error.
Thanks for the suggestions!

Not necessarily odd. If there is a bad area in the RAM but you never actually use this area, then you won't see a problem. If the use of Chrome pushes the memory usage into this area, then bingo, issues surface. Your best bet (though still not infallible) is to run something like MemTest86+ for a few days and see what it says.

Hi again,
I ran memtest a few times for a couple of hours. 0 errors.
Today another BSOD happened after around 10 days of stability. At this point I can rule Chrome out, since it happened while I was just browsing with Opera. Nothing else that can be resources hungry was running.
Here is the same error:

At this point I see nothing faulty apart from possible CPU defect or faulty drivers. And I have no idea which ones are the right drivers.
Last attempt (before smashing the Mb and the components to pieces ) would be to install again the drivers suggested here, if they are not installed already:
Are we certain Intel management Engine is not faulty? I've read on Ausus forums that it is to be blamed for some BSOD by other users with that MB model.

MemTest? You mean the one included with Windows? It is utterly useless and proves nothing. You need to run a more-sophisticated tool like MemTest86+.

You should be using the latest available drivers on the Asus support page for your board/system.

This hasn't helped so far/ I will try to ask on their forums as well, but for all w know, their latest drivers might be faulty and incompatible with that BIOS. I maybe need to find and downgrade to a previous version.
