Acer Aspire V5-572P_0798_2_09

BIOS Version / Date Insyde Corp. V2.09, 05/09/2013 (I haven't upgraded to version 2.1 from Acer)

SMBIOS Version: 2.7 BIOS model UEFI

Baseboard manufacturer Acer

base plate product Dazzle_CX

baseboard version Type2 - A01 Board Version

Processor: Intel (R) Pentium (R) CPU 2117U @ 1.80GHz, GenuineIntel

Intel64 Family 6 Model 58 Stepping 9

Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.19044 Build 19044

System type: x64-based PC

After updating to Windows 10, the following message came.

Event Viewer (Local) - Saved Logs - Microsoft-Windows-BitLockre% 4BitLocker Management

Devices that support DMA (direct memory access) have not been reported to be protected from external access. which can prevent security features such as BitLocker automatic device encryption

ISA Bridge:

PCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_1E57 (Intel (R) HM77 Express Chipset LPC Controller - 1E57)

PCI-to-PCI Bridge:

PCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_1E14 (Intel (R) 7 Series / C216 Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port 3 - 1E14)

PCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_1E12 (Intel (R) 7 Series / C216 Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port 2 - 1E12)

PCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_1E10 (Intel (R) 7 Series / C216 Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port 1 - 1E10)

When I upgrade with Intel Driver & Support Assistant Up to date, everything is fine,

but it does not update the Intel (R) 7 series / C216 Chipset Family through it and I do not find any updates on the Intel website. Is the Intel (R) 7 series / C216 Chipset Family discontinued? Is there a security risk if this is not updated anymore?

I have these listed below on my machine. Where can I check to see if I have the latest drivers?

And is there any security risk if the part has been discontinued i.e. is apparently no longer being updated? Can these discontinued ones be replaced / upgraded with another valid one? I try to keep the security of my machine as good as possible, as the intention is to use the machine as long as WIN10 is valid, ie on October 14, 2025, because the Pentium 2117U is not compatible with WIN11. And if I understand anything, this part can't be replaced with a laptop.

If the BIOS is from Intel, can it be updated somehow through Intel and will it improve any situation

or will it become a compatibility issue with the Acer system? Does the BIOS 2.1 update on the Acer website help with these issues.

IDE ATA or ATAPI drivers

Intel (R) 7 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller

Driver dated 18.3.2013

Driver version: 12.5.0.1066

There will be a yellow triangle in Device Manager, meaning action is required but does not indicate what.

System equipment

DMA controller

No driver is installed for this device.

Intel (R) HD Graphics

Driver Date 6.8.2020

Driver version: 10.18.10.5161

There will be a yellow triangle in Device Manager, meaning action is required but does not indicate what. However, Windows Security reports incompatible drivers so it causes security problems, i.e. whether there would be a change in WIN10 behind this as well. I downloaded the Intel Pentium Processor 2117U compatible version 15.33.53.5161 from the Intel website date 23.10.2020,

but the yellow triangle is still.

supports WIN10 version 21H2 which i have.

Your processor is not supported by Windows 10:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-10-21h2-supported-intel-processors

Sorry, but it is time for you to get a new or newer system.  I suggest you look at something with an 8th gen or greater processor.

By the way, your processor is from 2012.

I have a Laptop Acer Aspire V3-571G, with i7-3632QM, with Windows 10 32 bit on a partiton of HD-ssd and Windows 64 bit  on another partition of the same HD-ssd and they work fine.

You can update driver with free software (i.e. : driver booster).

Regards

Please do yourself a favor and NOT use 3rd party driver sites like driver booster.  You never know what information from your machine they are uploading (and to what country it is going), and you never know what payload is in the packages they are downloading.
