Are dual-socket version of the W processors planned? There's mention of a dual-socket config on the W Processors brief.

The spec sheet for the W-3275 has 1S Only for scalability, but the brief on https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/docs/processors/xeon/xeon-w-3200-processors-brief.html

says that the max memory supported is 3TB in a dual-socket configuration.

Is this a typo in the brief, or are dual socket versions planned?

Thanks ;)

Hello Michael,

Thank you for your time.

I already confirmed and the Xeon W processors support single socket only.

If you are interested in dual socket solutions, you can consider the 2nd Generation Xeon Scalable Processors.

If you have more questions please do not hesitate and let us know and we will be more than happy to assist you.

Thanks for your reply.

Can you clarify what the statement "Maximum System Memory Supported: Up to 3TB in a dual socket configuration" from the W Processors brief actually means? (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/docs/processors/xeon/xeon-w-3200-processors-brief.html).

Hello Michael,

Thank you for your time.

I have confirmed the information and that is a mistake in the Product Brief.

Only single-socket configurations are supported with the Xeon W processors.

Intel will get the Product Brief fixed.
