IF I install this optional update "Intel - Other hardware - Intel(R) Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Generic Participant" published on September 23, 2016 (size:5.4 MB) from windows update in windows 8.1 32bit my pc will "shutdown automatically" after 10 seconds of every logging.
I did't get an answer from Microsoft community website for my post in this link: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-update/automatic-shutdown-after-installing-10-optional/456c4a45-8d7b-44ef-aa59-95fce00d49d8 https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-update/automatic-shutdown-after-installing-10-optional/456c4a45-8d7b-44ef-aa59-95fce00d49d8 .
I'm not the only one who get this problem, see also: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-update/after-recent-windows-updates-windows-81-tablet-now/ffcd8c4b-e109-4cf4-9d46-f0fbca2b2161 https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-update/after-recent-windows-updates-windows-81-tablet-now/ffcd8c4b-e109-4cf4-9d46-f0fbca2b2161 .
so, may i know the reasons behind this problem and how to solve it?.
Thanks in advance

Hello ativ,
After further research this looks to be a Corrupted system file. Please try testing this tool from MS:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system-files https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system-files
In worse case, reinstalling the OS may be needed.
Best regards,
Ivan U.

Before your current post, I reinstalled windows 8.1 but the problem happens again, so I upgrade my OS to Windows 10 home single language and it works fine till now (my processor is intel atom Z2760 which is not fully supported to use Windows 10), so if I have any further problems in Windows 10, i,ll install windows 8.1 and test your solution.
On the other side, i,ll post your reply to Microsoft community to let the others who have the same problem to try your solution.
Thank you so much ivanu_intel intel_corp and best regards
