I just got an i7-7700 CPU, where do I get the BIOS update for it? I currently have an i3 6100 installed, if that info is needed.

You should look for the latest BIOS in your motherboard download site. BIOS is for specific motherboard and released by motherboard OEM.

What is the model of the motherboard installed in your computer (or if this is an OEM computer what is the computer model)?

In order to get better information about your system, please download the Intel System Support Utility (SSU). Run the SSU scan (check "Everything") and save the results. The .txt file with the results please attach to your post.

It's H110M-A-CF, which apparently is OEM.

This is the BIOS Download Page for your board.  The latest BIOS version is F24, released on Apr. 20, 2018. This is quite old release so, could be that it is already installed on your board. You may check the currently installed version using different method

OK, from the SSU report I can see that you have very old BIOS (version F5 from 2016).  You need update your BIOS , since only from BIOS version F20 the 7th gen CPU is supported. I'm not familiar with the Gigabyte BIOS update. I'm not sure that you can update directly form version F5 to version F24 or, you need go gradually: first update to version F20, then F21, F22, F23 and finally F24.

Better ask in Gigabyte support forum
