Bluescreen on fresh Windows installation Caused by iocbios2.sys

Hello.

I have a brand new pc on a fresh windows installation that crashes randomly with the code iocbios 2.sys

It seems to be some intel overclock driver. I have talked with windows support they said i should ask you guys.

What do i do from here. i cannot remove that driver. And it gets installed automaticly by windows.

Thank your getting back to me so quick.

Short resume. Im getting this bluescreen randomly. when opening programs or powering off pc. I used Driver verifier in windows to try to find what driver was causing bluescreens. And when i use driver verifier with iocbios 2.sys on. i get bluescreen instant. If i use the verifier without iocbios 2.sys then it runs fine. So i think that is was causing the blue screens for now.

I did not download the Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel® XTU). after a fresh windows 10 install it got installed automatically.

Do i even need this driver or what is it for ?.

I try to just delete the folder. But it says the file is in use. And i cannot find any uninstall.exe.

I cannot attach the document in here so i will copy paste the whole thing

Thank you for the information provided.Basically, Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel® XTU) is a tuning software that allows you to overclock, monitor and stress a system. I checked your system manufacturer's website, and the Intel® Xtreme Tuning Utility came pre-installed. You can see the driver details under the utilities section as IXTU: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-MAXIMUS-X-HERO/HelpDesk_Download/. Please attempt to remove it by using the Add/Remove program feature in the Windows Control panel.I also recommend you to contact your motherboard manufacturer to get further information about why this utility is available for your system.
