Hello SahilFarajov,
Thank you for contacting Intel Xeon Support.
I was reviewing your thread and I would like to ask you the following details:
- Is the processor a brand new product? It was working before?
- Does your motherboard have the latest BIOS version comparable with the Intel Xeon Processor?
Also, I would like to verify if your system does not POST or if the application is just providing your the "string fail".
- Which is the name of the application you have been using to test the processor?
If you are using the Intel PDT, when the Brand String test fails, it is basically that the processor's name was not recognized by the Intel® Processor Diagnostics Tool.
- Please refer to the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool User Guide on page 20.
This does not mean that your processor is defective. In order to complete the test on the IPDT go Tools > Stop Testing On Fail > Off.
If you have more questions, do not hesitate and let me know and I will be more than happy to assist you.
Best regards,
Emeth O.
