Bricked or not?

2 month old NUC V12 i5, was running fine until I turned off the machine to remove an external hard drive. Then I pressed the power button and the windows 11 & windows 10 option appeared (defaults to Windows 11 in a second) and then the screen went blank and the power button light on the computer was, and is still dead.

The power supply is still yielding 19.5 volts at the connector, but no sign of life from the box itself for as long you press the button or talk to it.

Do I just assume it is dead? If it's non-responsive how do I determine whether it's the motherboard, processor, ram or SSD that cut the cord?

If the machine is dead what's the best procedure to determine what parts are salvagable for a new computer?

Thanks for reading my post and if indeed it is lodged in the wrong category, kindly let me know where on this site or elsewhere I might find some guidance.
