I encountered a recurring issue where my screen would freeze every 1-5 seconds, accompanied by distorted audio playback. Additionally, my CPU was overheating significantly, which I believe was the root cause of these problems. Upon investigating, I found that the culprit was a BIOS feature called Intel Turbo Boost. This feature allowed my CPU to exceed 5 GHz, leading to excessive heat and system instability. To resolve this, I accessed my BIOS, switched to Advanced Mode, and disabled Intel Turbo Boost. Since making this change, the system's performance has stabilized, and the overheating issue has been resolved. i just wanted to report this bug so i could help the people having this problem Note: my cpu also was spiking to 100c while watching youtube and i didnt have any games open i just had chrome open after i turned it off my cpu jumped to 50 70c

So the Intel support engineers can have more information about your system, Please download and run the Intel System Support Utility (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows- ) for Windows. Select all data categories and then have it generate a report. Next, have the tool Save the report to a text file (don't try to use the Submit capability; it doesn't work). Finally, using the Drag and drop here or browse files to attach dialog below the edit box for the body of your response post, upload and attach this file to the response post.

Hi butters4life,
Thank you for posting in the Community.
I appreciate your initiative in identifying the Intel Turbo Boost feature as the potential cause and resolving the problem by disabling it in the BIOS. Your insights are valuable and can certainly help others facing similar challenges.
I noticed that @AlHill suggested downloading and running the Intel System Support Utility to gather more information about your system. If you haven't seen this suggestion yet, I recommend following their advice. You can download the utility from this link, select all data categories, and generate a report. Save the report to a text file and attach it to your response post using the "Drag and drop here or browse files to attach" dialog below the edit box.
If you prefer not to provide the SSU report, you can simply share the model of your CPU, BIOS version and motherboard. This information will also be helpful in understanding your system configuration.
Additionally, to better understand the situation, could you please provide more details on any other troubleshooting steps you've taken? For example, have you tried swapping the CPU or testing with different cooling solutions? Any additional information will be helpful in diagnosing the issue.
Thank you for your cooperation, and please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or need assistance.
Best regards,
Dean R.

Hi butters4life,
Thank you for your detailed response and for providing the CPU, motherboard, and BIOS version information. I see that the Intel Turbo Boost feature was causing your CPU to overheat, leading to stuttering and screen freezing. It's understandable how frustrating that must be, especially with your CPU running at such high temperatures.
I wanted to ask if you've had a chance to contact Dynabook regarding this issue. If you have, and it's okay to share, I'd be interested to know what feedback or solutions they provided. This information could be really helpful in understanding the situation better.
Best regards,
Dean R.
