Getting a intel i5-12600K cpu 12th generation.  WIll Windows 7 run properly on this cpu?

 

Looked all over and getting conflicting answers.

Will Windows 7 run properly?   You know that only Windows 10 and later are supported on 7th gen and later processors.  This is Microsoft's rule, not Intel's.

So, no, it will not run properly.

Also, if you really, really want to run W7, run it in a W10 or W11 vm.   I do, and it works well.
