Hi
My soon just completed the build of his new computer but the CPU frequency is set to 4600 MHz instead of 3900 Mhz.
The processor is Intel Core i5-11600K.
The computer runs on very high frequency (boosting) all the time even if the usage is between 1-5%, i.e. using simple programs. The fans are working heavily all the time whcih they should not do for simple usage.
Specs:
Chassi: Cooler Master Box Q300L
PSU: Corsair RM750 V2 750W
Cooler: Deepcool Gammaxx L240 v2
Processor: i5 11600k (4,9 GHz boost)
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z590M
Ram: Kingston fury 32gb 3200mhz cl16
Graphics: XFX RX 6600 SPEEDSTER SWFT 210 CORE
Ssd: Kingston NV1 M.2 SSD 500GB
Sata: 2 TB

My other son has aslo built a similar computer (same specs) with same processor but with other motherboard and default setting for this computer is 3900 Mhz in BIOS.
Do anybody know why this has happened and how do we get the BIOS default/basic setting to be 3900 MHz instead of 4600 MHz and will chaning the setting solve the problem
