Hello,
My processor reaches temperatures of up to 98 ° C when a game is started. Is this normal?
Here is my configuration:
CPU: Intel Core i9 10850K
GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3080
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2 * 16Go DDR4
AiO: Corsair 360mm cold air inspiration (its temperature never exceeds 45 ° C)
CM : MSI Z490 Gaming Carbon Wifi
FAN : 3 fan expiration of hot air
As soon as the game is stopped the CPU stagnates around 30-40 ° C.

Is it peaking to this level for a very short amount of time (measured in seconds) or is it sitting at this level? The former is normal (though, IMHO, concerning) while the latter is definitely a problem.

As it bothered me, I disassembled the AiO to renew the thermal paste.
It turns out that the store that had set up the AiO fixed it incorrectly.
I reassembled it correctly. The in-game CPU stagnates between 60 ° C and 80 ° C (sometimes a peak of a fraction of a second is seen at 90 ° C).
The temperature of the AiO is below 45 ° C.
I still want to make sure that these values are not worrying as long as a friend who has an i5 10th (therefore less powerful) does not exceed 60 ° C in game.

These are all fine. You have nothing to worry about thermally.
