Hello

I have a laptop lenovo Z510 and an i7-4702MQ CPU with an Intel HD Graphics 4600 and a nvidia 2Gb GT740.

after 4 years of using it and playing games, i had no problem. one day suddenly my laptop shutdown .... I had changed my windows, thermal paste, HDD, motherboard and ram but couldn't get rid of sudden shutdown. I even observed my CPU and GPU temperature exactly before shutting down but it was around 75 degree every time. the only part that i didn't change was CPU. is it possible that my CPU have a problem?

I used stress test on CPU, GPU and intel 4700 GPU but my laptop never shutdown. whenever i play games, and the charger is plugged in, after few minutes (5-30) it suddenly shutdown, without any warning or anything (just sudden blackness without power).

do you thing it's the CPU problem? did anybody see anything like this? I think my power supply is OK because i have also changed my charger.

Hello VA000 Thank you for posting in the Intel Community. You have mentioned that you have run stress test on the system. was there any failure on the system? Please run the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19792/Intel-Processor-Diagnostic-Tool) on the system and provide me the .txt report. make sure you are ruining the the latest drivers provided by Lenovo™ on the system (https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/cr/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ideapad-z-series-laptops/ideapad-z510-notebook). If the behavior still persist I would recommend contacting the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for warranty options. Hope this helps. Regards, Leonardo C. Hello VA000 Thank you for the information. Yes, I can see that the processor is not reporting any error on the test. on this case try completing all the available driver updates on the system and test if the behavior still happens I also recommend contacting the OEM to report the issue on the system.
