I have recently purchased a Dell G5 and Im trying to upgrade the Intel Core i3-10105F to a Intel i5-11500. After installing the i5 the system will not boot and has orange orange white flasing power light. I then reinstall the i3 and the system boots up fine. Any advice that can be provided would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Does the dell bios support the i5-11500? Only dell can answer that question. It is more than just socket compatibility. Your machine must also be bios and chipset compatible.
