Can I limit Turbo Boost clock?

I have an 8750H that goes up to 3.9 GHz on all 6 cores during peak use.

Due to thermal reasons, I'd like to be able to limit Turbo Boost max clock without having to disable it completely.

Is that possible?

Yes. Easiest way is to use ThrottleStop tool. There should also be an option inside BIOS to limit maximum multiplayer.
