Can I use the heatsink that came with Celeron 430 1.8 GHz with Core2 Duo E8400 3.00 GHz processor. Can I have the cooling fan part number of both the processors. Thanks.

We would not recommend using different cooling solutions even if the socket is the same. The cooling solutions included on the box with the CPU, are designed for each specific model. We may have some issues swapping these components due to the differences on voltage and other specifications.

Regarding the part numbers, for the Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E8400, we would recommend using the E33681-001 or E97375-001.

For the Intel® Celeron® Processor 430 the part numbers are: D75716-00x, E30206-00x and E97377-001.
