Can a PCI-express SSD be installed on the i7-6700HQ M.2 slot

Hi everyone -

I'm planning to install an PCIe 4x in the M.2 slot of the laptop motherboard. How can I check if 970 evo is compatible with my motherboard? I found these specifications for Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ Processor :

PCI Express Revision: 3,0

PCI Express Configurations: Up to 1x16, 2x8, 1x8+2x4

Max # of PCI Express Lanes: 16

Any help would be very appreciated.

Again, you need to contact your laptop manufacturer and ask them what THEIR LAPTOP supports.
