I had built a computer for about 5 months now and when I was playing a game the computer shut down and continuously rebooted every time it reaches the logo with the loading icon. I tried entering the bios and when I reached the bios screen it kept rebooting. I don't believe the Power supply is the issue since the fans on the cpu cooler were spinning anytime I turned on the computer. I tried removing the ram sticks to see if one of them is bad and also tried putting the ram sticks in different slots but other from slight darker shade of parts of the cpu there seems to be no physical damage. I also tried reflashing the bios but it didn't help.
I later disassembled the pc and saw that there was a missing and a broken pin from the CPU socket on the motherboard and parts of the cpu is a bit darker than the others.
I would like to know if the motherboard ended up damaging the cpu to see if I need to buy both a cpu and a motherboard. I have no extra parts to test with.
Specs:
Cpu - 13700k overclocked to 5.7ghz on the P cores, the E cores were left on Auto. The uncore VID was 1.354 in hwinfo64.
Motherboard - z690i Aorus Ultra plus

Thank you. Based on the response I see from ASRock in the thread the motherboard would either not damage the cpu or there is a very small chance the motherboard would damage the cpu. I'll probably buy a z790 motherboard and if the cpu doesn't work then I'll wait for 14th gen.
