Can't install CPPC driver

Hi there,

I have a problem.

I'm currently running windows 10 64bit and I can't install Intel CPPC driver on my laptop. It's a HP Pavilion 15-ab291sa.

When I try to install it comes back with message saying that my system doesn't meet the system requirements.

Any idea how to solve it, please?

Thank you.

Hello m4sta:

Thank you very much for joining the Intel® processors communities.

In regard to your inquiry, on the following link you will find all the drivers that are design for your system:

http://support.hp.com/ie-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-15-Notebook-PC-series/8499306/model/9093587 http://support.hp.com/ie-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-15-Notebook-PC-series/8499306/model/9093587

I do not see the CPPC driver listed there, so in this case the best thing to do will be to get in contact directly with HP to confirm if that driver is available for your system, because even though it is an Intel driver, sometimes the driver is provided by the manufacturer of the machine, so, please get in contact with HP and let us know if they have it available.

I looked in our web site, but that driver specifically is not showing, Intel® Collaborative Processor Performance Control:

HP's phone number: 1 800-474-6836

HP"s support site: http://support.hp.com/us-en http://support.hp.com/us-en

Any further questions, please let me know.

Regards

Alberto

Thank you for your reply.

You must have missed it but the CPPC driver is listed there, second from top under Chipset tab.

That driver however refuses to install as well as any other I tried

Let me apologize for that, I did not see the driver listed in there.

In this case the best thing to do will be to get in contact with the manufacturer of the laptop HP directly, in order to get further assistance on this matter, since you should be able to install the driver from their web site.

your system may no longer require the driver with windows 10. i upgraded a getac b300 g5 from 7 to 10 and it was dropped off. im actually here to see if i need it anymore.
