Hi Jeffm004,

Thank you for creating a thread in Intel Communities.

We will be more than glad to provide answer to your questions. Please allow us to get more information as we need this to provide you with effective suggestions for your concerns:

1. It would really help us if we can get more information about your system. Please download and run our Intel® System Support Utility from this page. To run it, please press "Scan". After the scan is finished, click next and there will be a save button, giving you an option to save the logs to a text file, please do so and attach the file on your reply. You can refer to How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows* for instructions.

2. Are you using the Intel Extreme Tuning utility (XTU) to determine if you are getting throttling? If yes, may we know what kind of throttling are you getting? (Current Limit Throttling, Thermal Throttling, etc.)

3. If it is thermal limit throttling does any of the processor cores reach 100 degrees Celsius?

We look forward to your reply.

From what I can tell, CPU is thermal throttling. It's so fast can not tell if it is hitting 100C. I have bios set to XMP II. Intel profile controlling the board.

Hi Jeffm004,

We appreciate your prompt reply.

Thank you for sharing the logs. One of the fixes for the concern that you had raised is a BIOS update. When I checked your motherboard’s website, there is a BIOS update that was just release a few days ago. Please update to BIOS version 2402. If you are uncomfortable in applying the BIOS firmware update, kindly seek assistance from Asus.

Hi Jeffm004,

We are just following up.

It looks like you need more time to check with your system manufacturer since we have not heard from you.

Should we not hear from you, our system may automatically close the thread.
