Core 2 Duo T5250 - socket 478

Could the Core 2 Duo T5250  (mobile - socket 478) work in a desktop motherboard with socket 478?

The answer is - maybe.

As long as the motherboard bios supports the T5250.  Ask the motherboard manufacture if it does.

Also, this processor is from 2007.  You should abandon such an effort and upgrade to a new(er) system.

Thanks @AlHill for the answer.

My intention is more to experiment than to upgrade. I am aware that it makes no sense to continue with such an old system.
