I have an /thread/116224 Core I7-6950X processor with a following problem:

With " Intel processor diagnostic tool " and " cpuz.exe " tool I get a Number of phisical cores =6 and and Number oflogical cores= 6

but by specifikation should be 10/20. In BIOS I see 10 cores. How can I check real number of cores.

Hello brunog,

Thank you for contacting Intel Communities.

Please try the following and let me know how it goes:

Press Windows Key + R on the keyboard to open "Run" > Type msconfig > go to Boot tab > Advanced options... > uncheck the "Number of processors" box.

Restart the computer.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Best Regards,

Hallo Juan,

I made in >msconfig> this change, but I still hev in " Intel processor diagnostic tool " and " cpuz.exe " Number of phisical cores =6 and and Number oflogical cores= 6.

I think it has to be something with ASUS Rampage V extreme motherboard config which I can not find any exemple of config ? Perhaps You can sugest me where I can find this. From Asus Guide I tried all posibility.

Hi brunog,

Since the BIOS is showing the correct information, I would recommend contacting Microsoft or Asus directly to check if there are any other settings you can change to show the correct information.

Best Regards,
