Hi....with windows 10 in its last year of support, does anyone know if there is anything that can be done to make my Core i3 7130U 2.70 Ghz compatible with windows11.
The laptop is in perfect condition and it feels like such a waste of Tec materials to have to replace it
Thanks

Hello EssG,
Thank you for posting in Intel Communities. I'll be straightforward in providing an answer to your query.
Yes, you may install Windows 11 on unsupported systems but it is not recommended. If you opt to install Windows 11 on hardware that doesn't meet the eligibility criteria, it's important to understand that you may encounter compatibility issues and should be prepared to accept associated risks.
Please check the following links from Microsoft support.
- Installing Windows 11 on devices that don't meet minimum system requirements
- Ways to install Windows 11
In installing it, you may need to use 3rd party software to do so. However, we could not comment or recommend on those as it is unvalidated by Intel. You may reach out to the Tech community from Microsoft, or Microsoft Support themselves if you wish to acquire further assistance. You may also check this link for a similar inquiry.

We will no longer monitor this thread as the actions required to proceed further no longer fall under the scope of Intel Customer Support but fellow community members may also comment or suggest. Thank you for giving this a read.
