Hi,
What is the maximum memory available for the Core i7 920XM ? Some places say 8GB others say 16. Most vendors seems to be "unwilling" to deliver more than 4. Is this due to lack of avaiable compatibel ram products?
I am planing to invest in a "state of the art" laptop this autumn and will check every possible option before spending this rather large amount of cash.

It supports upto 8GB and it may only support two slots which makes it hard and expensive to get by needing 2x4GB DDR3 SODIMM kit.

Thanks. But if a DDR3 sodimm kit with 2x8GB becomes available, there is not in principle imossible to have 16GB installed? It will of course be expensive...!

I read that page as "Dependent on memory type" so the limit of 8GB is not given "forever".
I guess we'll just wait and see if more becomes available. Thank you.
