Core i7 965 vs. Core i7 975

Earlier this year, I purchased a Core i7 965 cpu for a new pc I was building. (I've built pc's for years) and since I'd grown tired of having to throw away about a thousand bucks for a new POS at Best Buy every year and a half, I figured I'd build something top of the line that should last for 4 or 5 years. About a month after I built my i7 965, Intel released the 975, running at a small fraction of the speed. ALL the specs (even price!) are the same when comparing the 2 cpu's. Is there any difference, except the obvious speed difference between the 965's 3.2 and the 975 running 3.3? All benchmarks now include the 975 instead of the 965, and even in looking for benchmarks, a lot of OEM's don't even carry or sell the 965 in place of the 975!! Am I missing something in the mix here?? If Intel reads this, can I upgrade to the 975? They're both even Intel's Extreme Edition chips... it's almost not right to NOT oc the 965 to a very small, mild oc of 3.3 and it's a 975...

The 975 is a D0 stepping, so in theroy in might overclock a little better, my 975 does 4Ghz on air without too much difficulty.

Other than clockspeed there the same, I wouldn;t get a 975 if I had a 965.
