While running CPUID HWMonitor, under Intel Core I9-11900K under Clocks I was sitting there watching all the clocks, and most of them (all but 1), was about the same, except #5. If you look at the attached picture you'll see what I"m talking about. So what is the deal with this?
Thanks
Dan

Hello, @Timlab55
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I will do my best to assist you here.
Processors do not run at their maximum frequency all the time and that includes the fact that not all cores have the same frequency, they have different tasks and more or less workload than other cores. The processor automatically selects the best frequency depending on the workload demand and the OS selects the tasks for each core, processor will distribute the energy to those cores that need them more.
In summary, the clock speed and frequency of the cores will depend on the system and workload.

This kind of mistake should never have happened if I wasn't so tired that day. I was looking over XTU and accidentally clicked on something that lowered that core to 3.5 MHz. After realizing what I had done, I when high and low looking for my mistake and saw in XTU that it was different from all the other cores. So I put on my big boys pants and changed the settings and now everything is okay.
Thanks for asking Jocelyn M.
