Disable Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility - Intel® XTU Logs!

Hi!

Is there anyway to disable XTU logs? if not can we ask the developers to add an option to enable and disable logging?

I am getting big files, around 20-100MB in the folder C:\ProgramData\Intel\Intel Extreme Tuning Utility\Logs

The files are useless, will only consume more CPU and SSD.

In case of problem, we can enable the logs again,

And this option will be Enable by default, so newbies will have logs as before.

Hello JJJ00,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

The information provided by Al.Hill is correct regarding supported processors.

Also, we would like to inform you that we have sent your suggestion to the proper department so they might consider it. We appreciate your feedback to help us improve our products.

What is the model number of your processor?

What OS? WIndows 10? What version? 1903? 1909?

My processor model has nothing to do with my suggestion, anyhow I will answer your questions.

CPU: Intel I7 7820HK

OS, Windows 1909 build 467 at the time.

CPU Microcode: 0xB4

Inte XTU: all versions - now 6.5.1.371

Again my suggestion is to add an option to disable logging if it not needed by the user

If I didn't reply, it is because it is almost impossible to login, now I had to change the password, before I could login but no access to the forum.

I hope you will consider my suggestion.

Your processor model number is important, as only X and K processors.

I am sure Intel will consider your suggestion.

Guys at Intel I want to thank you to add an option to disable logs.

1- I have no longer huge unnecessary log files

2-  The XtuService.exe is now using 0% CPU, before it was between 1-2%

Thanks again
