Disable SMI for x5680s

Hello,

We are using a dual socket Mobo with 2 x5680s that doesn't have support for disabling SMI in the BIOS. I've read in a couple different documents that this is a bit on the integrated memory controller that can be changed to disable SMI all together. Granted this can cause various issues with USB, NICs, etc, but we are running realtime apps and so far the SMIs have been killing us!

Any insight or direction provided would be much appreciated!

Hi,

Unless specified by the board manufacturer and/or BIOS developer, I confirm the SMI is automatically handled by the BIOS.
