I have bought Celeron E3300 processor - http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=42771 http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=42771.
Motherboard - Asus P5GC-MX - http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=vddABl4wQXZXLyQY http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=vddABl4wQXZXLyQY (BIOS version 0518 - the latest one). Will current mobo support E3300?
I know that current mobo is outdated, but it supports E5200 though (http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=vddABl4wQXZXLyQY http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=vddABl4wQXZXLyQY) - the only visible difference between both CPUs (as it seems to me) is in fact that Pentium has L2 cache as twice as larger then celeron has... Lithogrphy process is also the same for both 5200 as well as for 3300 - 45nm.
Is it possible that Asus just havent got round to updating the supported CPU list here -
http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=P5GC-MX&product=1&os=17 http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=P5GC-MX&product=1&os=17 ? Should I try to plug E330 into the socket or I need another mobo that fits?
Thanks a lot in advance for answerings!

If it is not on teh list then officially and theoretically it won't work. Saying that it still may work but the best ppl to ask is Asus. The main problem is that bthe CPU string maynot be in teh BIOS, this can cause issues.
