Does Office 2016 cause Machine check exception on all Broadwell CPUs?

I hava i5-5675C running on Ausus H97-pro gamer Mainboard.

After I updated to MS Office 2016 (from 2013) starting an Office-app caused a Bluescreen "Machine check exception". I had to return to Office 2013.

Some posts on Internet say that this only happens with Broadwell-Prozessos (i5-5700HQ, i5-5675C, i7-5775C) and it is a known issue.

The talkis about a design defect in Broadell-Architecture.

Soe linuc-distributions semm to have the same problem...

There are different reports about the cause of this. Some think it`s within the Iris pro GPU and a clean install of the latest driver could solve that. But this didn`t work fo all.

Some say that a BIOS-Update could solve this. Well - it seems that only a view vendors offered a new BIOS

What I read, a workaround is to turn of speedstep. Probably that`s what the BIOS-update does.

But: Turning off speedstep will lead to greater power consumption and greater heat even on running idle.

Does anyone have this problem too?

Does Intel work on a solution?
