Does XMP Certification requires a certain operating temperature range？

The stability of DRAM is affected by the temperature of the environment and when it comes to OC this is even more severe. Does XMP Certification requires a certain operating temperature range or any testing temperature would be okay. I cannot find any related datasheets or standards.

In reference to your question, XMP has many different levels of voltage and frequency, it can work with 1.2 or 1.35, but actually, the one that can confirm if it is safe to use it will be the motherboard manufacturer since we recommend to use the Intel® Processor with default settings and following the specifications of the Intel® official web site:

https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark.html

So, if you need to use XMP, then the best thing to do to gather the information that you are looking for will be to get in contact directly with the manufacturer of the board to make sure the different profiles of the XMP memory are supported by their BIOS.

Let's put this in perspective. The base speed for DDR4 memory is 2133MHz. Running at any faster speed is done using an XMP configuration. Intel validates processors to various speeds, 2400, 2666 - again, via XMP configuration. Bottom line, Intel can't disqualify a processor simply because you use XMP. But, what they can say is running at any speed above what has been validated and warranted is a form of overclocking and may disaffect the lifetime of teh processor. For example, running DDR4-3200 memory on a processor validated for operation with DDR4-2400 memory *is* overclocking and the processor isn't warranted to support these bus speeds.
