Hello,
I just did a fresh install of Windows 10 Professional 64bit on my computer.
I downloaded the driver update tool from here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html Intel® Driver Update Utility
It detects the chipset driver:
Installed version: 10.0.10586.0
Latest version: 10.1.1.14
I press the download button, it dowloads the file and starts the installation.
I click through the wizard and the installation starts and then failes.
Log files are attached.
Hope you can provide some help. Is windows 10 even supported on my platform?

Your system is based on an Intel 5-series legacy chipset. Windows 10 is not a supported platform for old hardware like yours.
So you can either utilize the OS's built-in drivers, or have to try Intel's latest drivers that support your chipset, which are available http://www.station-drivers.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=353&func=fileinfo&id=88&lang=en here. Note that since those drivers are for Vista/8/8.1, they might not work - you'll have to give it a try.

Thanks YseGuy,
the driver you suggested was installed successfully under Win10 and is used according to the device manager.
