My newish computer BSODs a few times a day, and I can't quite figure out why.
When it happens, I make sure to blow the dust out of my computer, but that doesn't seem to help.

I had forgotten to update this - downgrading the GTX 1070 graphics driver to an older version completely fixed the problem. Eventually, nvidia released a newer driver that did not have the BSOD problem. In the end, this was a nvidia bug, and not an intel one. Thank you.

Hello Crius,
Thank you for contacting the Intel community.
When playing games are you using the Intel® HD Graphics or you are using the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070? According with the information you posted you have video card and when playing games you will be using the graphics from this video card and you will get better support from your graphics card manufacturer support group. You can get support here:
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/geforce-gtx-1070/ https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/geforce-gtx-1070/

I'm using the gtx 1070. I'll look into the graphics card if you think that's the problem, but the
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff557211%28v=vs.85%29.aspx Bug Check 0x101: CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUTseemed to be described as a processor problem. I may be misreading which processor it is since the graphics card must have a processor too.

After examining my video driver installation log, I have noted the constant BSODs started when I updated my GTX 1070 graphics driver to the newest version.
It seems the newest video driver for the GTX 1070 has a BSOD problem in it. I will try to find a way to downgrade the graphics driver software to an older version since 4 or 5 BSODs a day is unacceptable.
Or it could just be a coincidence that all my BSODs started happening soon after installing the newest video driver.

This could be several things.
It could be something as simple as an out of date driver or it could be failing hardware (ram)
I would first try to remove all except one stick of ram and see if it BSOD again, if it does then try the other stick of ram (also by itself) and see if the problem continues. If the blue screens go away it means you have a failing stick of ram and you should replace it. If the problem continues on multiple sticks of ram it could be that multiple ram sticks are dyeing or that there is something else causing the issue.
Start by testing the ram as mentioned above.. this will be one of the easiest things to test for and determine.
