Help! Extremely difficult to lock i7 into socket. Extremely

I ligned up the notches in the processor with the two pins on the side of the socket, the triangle is in the same corner too. But when I got to push the lever down, it is EXTREMELY hard. I don't want to break anything, what am I doing wrong???

i just recently purchased a Core i7 (CO) yes it feels like there is a pound of pressure to lock the Lever but donot worry, just keep pushing till you lock that lever in place =)

PS: you will also see some indentions where the socket firmly holds your Die on the Sides, But its Normal =)
