On my host system, when i look my CPU TYPE i got:

cat /proc/cpuinfo

model name : Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5300U CPU @ 2.30GHz

which is BROADWELL MODEL

when i look CPU model on my GUEST it is shown as HASWELL

-cpu Haswell,+smap,+adx,+rdseed,+3dnowprefetch,+abm,+pdpe1gb,+rdrand,+f16c,+osxsave,+pdcm,+xtpr,+tm2,+est,+smx,+vmx,+ds_cpl,+monitor,+dtes64,+pbe,+tm,+ht,+ss,+acpi,+ds,+vme -m 4096

Why is this happening? How can i solve this problem? I would like to have BROADWELL model CPU on my host and on my guest system.

Hello JozeGros,

Thank you for joining the Graphics community, and my apologies for the inconvenience.

Could please provide a screenshot of the results where you see that the processor is shown as Haswell?

Regards,

Hello, sorry for my bad english.

When i look CPU on my host system ( cat /proc/cpuinfo) this is my output

The processor is Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5300U CPU @ 2.30GHz. When i google the CPU it is said it is broadwell CPU

Products formerly Broadwell (link http://ark.intel.com/products/85213/Intel-Core-i5-5300U-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-2_90-GHz Intel® Core™ i5-5300U Processor (3M Cache, up to 2.90 GHz) Product Specifications )

I have 4 VM on this host sistem

When i look CPU on my guest sistems ( all four of them) by ps -ef | grep instance-00000084, the procesor is shown as Haswell.

/thread/116907 JozeGros, thank you for the screenshots.

I would like to let you know that Intel provides limited support for Linux, so the best call regarding the command lines you are using should be provided by http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/ Linux Forums. From my end, I can confirm that your processor model is from the products formerly known as Broadwell and you can also use the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/7840 Download Intel® Processor Identification Utility - Bootable Version to identify it, it is possible that the command line you are using is pulling other information that I am not able to confirm since the support for this operating system is limited.

Regards,

Amy C.
