Looking for a laptop to stream video only. Found an HP that has pentium n3700 with the Intel HD 405 graphics. Will this moderate setup be ok for video and encoding x265?
Although a lower class, how much better is this than say the older laptops (10+ years) that run Core 2 2.1 GHz with the HD 4500 integrated graphics?

This processor is almost FOUR years old. I hope your HP system is not being sold as new.

I personally would look for a better, CURRENT, non-HP system.
Will it do the job? It is a low-end processor. It may satisfy your needs, but you get what you pay for,

Thanks Doc
It is a new laptop, an HP camo version at Wal-mart on clearance for $180
I think I may go the USED route. There are some desktops I can get with an i5 4570 for around $115 and I think those would be great for watching and encoding video, I assume at least
