How to count L2/LLC cache miss/hit on Xeon® Processor 5500 Series?

Hello everyone
I want to use PMU to calculate the missing rate of L2 and LLC, which means looking for available performance events in Intel’s manual. I have consulted the relevant chapters of the manual. What makes me wonder is that I am not sure which performance events to select. , Can anyone tell me the formula for calculating the missing rate of L2 and L3?

Hello hds,

Thank you for contacting Intel Customer Support.

In order to properly assist you can please provide us the exact model of the Intel(R) processor that you are using? Also, please provide us the model of the server board and the memory part number.

Finally, can you please share with us the link of the manual that you consulted and also the page where you got the information from?

We will be looking forward to your response.

Best regards,
