Are there any available CPUs that support Intel Trusted Domain Extension (Intel TDX)? How can I purchase it? I want to do some experiments on TDX including modifying SEAM module. Thus, cloud services that support TDX cannot satisfy my requirements.

Dear Jinwen,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your inquiry about purchasing a CPU with Intel® Trust Domain Extensions (Intel® TDX) support. We understand your interest in conducting experiments on TDX, including modifying the SEAM module. We are here to assist you in finding the right CPU to meet your requirements.

To address your query, I would like to inform you that TDX are indeed supported by the 4th Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/series/228622/4th-generation-intel-xeon-scalable-processors.html. These processors provide the necessary capabilities for your TDX experimentation needs.

To purchase a CPU with TDX support, we recommend exploring the Intel Solutions Marketplace. It is a valuable resource that showcases various Intel partners and authorized distributors who offer a wide range of Intel products. You can find the marketplace at the following link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/partner/showcase/partner-directory/overview.html.

Additionally, some local Intel Authorized distributors may sell CPUs with Intel TDX support in small quantities. You may want to check with them to see if they have the specific processors you are looking for.

To make the purchasing process more convenient for you, Intel has also provided a "Ready to Purchase?" smart form. You can access it using the following link: https://plan.seek.intel.com/SMARTForm_ICS. This form helps streamline the purchase request by gathering necessary information, ensuring a smoother buying experience.

We hope this information guides you in acquiring a CPU that supports Intel Trusted Domain Extension (Intel TDX). If you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are more than happy to help.

Best regards,

Allan A.

Dear Jinwen,

We have an important update regarding our processors and the inclusion of Intel® TDX technology:

1. Intel® TDX Technology: Our Sapphire Rapids processors with Extreme Core Count (XCC) and Medium Core Count (MCC) processors do feature Intel® TDX technology.

2. SKUs Availability: We currently do not have a public list of XCC and MCC SKUs. However, you can find detailed information in the 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processor 2S Transition Guide. Access the guide through this link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/secure/design/internal/content-details.html?DocID=781216.

Please note that accessing the link requires a Confidential Non-Disclosure Agreement (CNDA).

If you have any questions or require further assistance, our dedicated support team is ready to help.

Thank you for your trust in our products. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding.

Sincerely,

Basically no Sapphire Rapids supports TDX - Emerald Rapids will, see https://github.com/intel/tdx-tools/issues/399
