Hi Emeth. I uninstalled the processors and memories. I applied a new thermal paste and re-installed, adjusting the coollers well. Best regards, MMaue1 Em ter., 4 de fev. de 2020 às 21:27, Intel Forums <supportreplies@intel.com> escreveu:

You need to work with ASUS on compatibility, and what their bios supports.

The Asus support team says that the problem must be due to the possible step difference of the processors

Hello MMaue1,

Thank you for contacting Intel Xeon Community Support.

In order to verify this information, could you please be so kind and provide me the following information:

  1. Intel Xeon Silver Model:
  2. FPO Numbers from the processors:

If you would like to know how to identify the FPO numbers of the processors, please check the following link:

The reason why I am requesting the FPO Numbers of the processors is due to the fact with the FPO I can verify the "S-Spec Code". If the S-spec Code of the processors is not the same you will not be able to have both processors within the same Server System.

I will be waiting for your outcome in order to proceed with the next step.

Hi MMaue1,

Thank you for the information provided.

I was reviewing those FPO codes, I have confirmed the S-spec Code of both processors are "SR3GK".

Your processor is an Intel Xeon Silver 4114 which it supports 2S.

However, If you mentioned that each processor separably works accordingly our best recommendation will be to verify the motherboard like test each socket, swapping the processors, verifying the BIOS Version because the motherboard needs to have the version 0401 in order to support the processor or an additional setting within the BIOS.

If everything seems to be find, please check again with the manufacture of the motherboard.

Hi MMaue1,

It is not a problem to have a different FPO, the important code is the "S-spec Code".

By any chance, have you tried to test a different Server Board?

Where did you get those processors?

Hi MMaue1,

Excellent, I am very happy that the Intel Processor itself was not the root cause of the issue and also because you could figure out the issue.

To double-check the information provided above, in order to implement a multiprocessor system it is very important to verify the "S-spec Code" with us or with the OEM that provides you the components.

I am going to proceed and complete this case. If you have more questions in the future please do not hesitate and let us know and we will be more than happy to assist you.

Have a wonderful day.

Best regards,
