I have a notebook Aspire E1-572-6830 with a processor i5-4200U, I need to do a little upgrade...

I will buy a SSD but I already have one hard drive with a storage of 500 gbs, this processor support a individual drive with 1 terabits of storage or all hard drivers together must to be exactly 1 terabits of storage ? I'm asking this because this processor only support an amount of storage but I don't understand the math, sorry if I write some word wrongly, I'm still learning English...

  • Max Memory Size (dependent on memory type)

  •
  • Max # of Memory Channels
  • 2
  •
  • Max Memory Bandwidth
  • 25.6 GB/s
  •
  • ECC Memory Supported ‡
  • No

I just found this information about the amount of ram memory supported, but I don't found the information about the storage...

Don't apologize; ask your question in your native language where you can better express yourself. We can use translators to understand.

But I'm seeing this like a opportunity to learn a little more and have a answer 😊

Hello Gabriel Sete Thank you for posting in the Intel Community. Looking into the processor technical product specification (https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/datasheets/4th-gen-core-family-desktop-...) I did not find any storage limitation, bear in mind that the maximum capacity of SSD or HDD storage devices is limited by the motherboard/laptop design, in this case, I recommend contacting ACER® for detail about the laptop's capacity.
