Hi, I have issue with updating chipset driver using "intel driver update Utility". I downloaded utility and have it scanned my computer. It tells me my Intel chipset Device Software (INF Update Utility-EXE Only) is outdated. Installed Version is 10.0.10586 and Latest Version is 10.1.1.14. Which I downloaded and ran the update, but it just end with failure msg. I have i7 720. Is there certain steps I have to take or it is not compatible with my i7???
If the latest version does not work with my i7, is there another version of software came out after current version on my computer?
Not sure if the msg I get has anything to do with this...but in past few months...not often...but sometime I would get this msg saying something about vendor and device id don't match.
Thanks in advance.

Based on your chipset model Windows® 10 is not supported; therefore, the driver will not install. You might try install the driver from https://www.asus.com/Notebooks/N61Jq/HelpDesk_Download/ N61Jq | Notebooks | ASUS Global, but I noticed that Windows® 10 is no on the list for "Driver & Tools".
