I5 13600KF high temps

Hi all,

I bought an I5 13600KF and built my PC yesterday, with a TUF B660M-Plus D4 motherboard and a Deepcool AG620 cooler. However, while installing programs on the PC, I noticed that the CPU cooler was frequently alternating between high and low RPMs. When I installed MSI Afterburner, I saw that the temperature at idle was fluctuating between 40 and 65 degrees Celsius.

Here is a screenshot with the temperature and CPU usage graph (https://prnt.sc/pTlutZZ6Rg0u) (the highest temperature was 97 degrees Celsius during the game).

I would like to know if it could be a problem with the CPU, so that I can request a warranty claim

(https://prnt.sc/fwsB9swMKbDn) - Temperature and usage while I was writing this, varying between 45~65.

So, you think it must be a processor problem, eh?

It cannot possibily be the cooler, or bad installation of the cooler and/or thermal paste, or the motherboard bios, or inadequate ventilation, or any number of other reasons, right?

Yes, it must be the processor because that is easy for you to point to.

Go back, do some checking, update your bios, reapply the paste, etc.

I reinstalled the cooler and reapplied thermal paste after noticing the issue, I have 3 fans in the front of the case to improve air flow, but I still ran tests with the side panel open and the motherboard was already purchased with the updated BIOS to be compatible with 13th generation processors. My doubt here is whether these temperature fluctuations are normal for this processor.

Get rid of AfterBurner (uninstall it and reboot), and run IPDT:
