Hello, I recently bought a new pc with Intel i7 13700kf and CPU cooler silverstone ar12 tuf, gpu rtx 3080 to,
My question is - is my cpu cooler enough because my cpu temperature is getting up to 70 - 90 Celsius when I am playing a game like skyrim, on idle it's between 40 to 50 Celsius,
Is something wrong or is normal?
Thanks.

Hello, please make sure that you applied the thermal paste in a way that it spreads to whole front plate of the cpu.

it seems like you are using an air cooler. these 13th gen i7 and i9 cpus tends to work really hot because of their high maximum power draw rates of 250 ish watts.

you might benefit from upgrading to an 240mm or bigger AIO or putting another fan to the heat block so that it will be a Push/Pull configuration which lowers temps around by 5-10 degrees.

You are fine with what you have. It is not uncommon to see average temperatures in the 80s and temperatures spike up into the 90s when the system is very busy. This is perfectly fine if the fan speed control subsystem is using the fans to cool things down and maintain those 80s temperature levels and keep the duration of the spikes to a minimum.
