I7 4790k heats up to 90c when in use

I recently got a CPU temperature program which detects and tell me what my CPU temperature is, as I used it I discovered when using 40%-100%, it would bring the temperature up to 90c. I have had this processor for a year and I'm not sure what to do. Will this have damaged my CPU if I've been using it at 90 degrees Celsius for the last year?

Specs:

Processor: I7-4790K LGA1150

Motherboard: Z97X-Gaming-7

Power Supply: Corsair CX750 watt

256 SSD

2tb Hard drive

Graphics Card: Gigabyte GTX 970 wind forcer

Case: Thermaltake V3 Black

This thread talks about CPU over heating with this Intel® processor and how some customers have been able to solve this over heating issue.
