Hello,

Processor cores burn roughly 20/25 degrees to 50/60 degrees in a fraction of a second when I use a stress test.

Here's a video of the problem, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWAzAyb1f_c V 20180513 102648 vHDR Auto - YouTube

The system and cooled with a watercooling Corsair hydro h110i.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi seb911,

I understand you are running a stress test and the processor temperature reports up to 60C. Let me help you on this matter.

Please bear in mind that every processor generation micro-architecture has variations in its behavior.

Momentary processor temperature changes from the idle temperature are normal behavior under ordinary operating conditions. Sustained high processor temperatures may be observed if you are currently running processor intense applications for a period of time.

Based on the youtube video I have noticed that your processor is working within the specifications.

You can try running the following diagnostic tool on the processor. This will inform of a possible heat problem:

Thanks

Good evening,

The test ends successfully.

All faith we can note a temperature up to 84 degrees on a very short test.

I ran OCCT today, this one ends with an error regarding CPU temperatures exceeding 85 degrees.

By running a stress test, after 10 minutes, temperatures approach 95 degrees.

Hi seb911,

Thank you for the updating this thread.

I would like to know if the computer shuts down automatically when reaches that temperature. Do you have any type of instability problem?

Thanks

Hello,

I found the problem, and fortunately nothing wrong. With the default bios of the asus maximus ix formula, the Vcore climbed to 1.41 V instead of 1.248 V, resulting in a very high temperature. So I fixed the Vcore manually at 1.248 V, and everything and normal now ..
