Hi,
my i7 6700 reaches 3,7ghz when running cinebench r15, which is corrrect. However, in single core cinebench r15 test , it reaches at max 3.9ghz. Is it cpu's error? It should be at 4ghz
I use cpu-z to monitor the clock speed.
regards,
john

The processor base clock should be 3.4Ghz, if all cores are enabled and turbo boost the speed will go up to 4Ghz.
Try disabling Enhanced Intel® SpeedStep® Technology (EIST) through BIOS and run the monitoring software again.
Allan.
